To flow, to live, to love

Change is inevitable. Every day we wake up being a slightly different version of ourselves, hopefully better and renewed from yesterday's learning experiences. There are days I feel the same, some I feel younger and other a bit wiser or stronger. However, there's always that life lesson waiting right around the corner to test you. The real question is: are you ready?

I wrote this post a LONG time ago and completely forgot about it. I am glad I did because now it means so much more with what's been happening in my life!

There's no place like home

There are so many quotes around what home is I could write an entire book (I wish!). If home is where the heart is, where exactly IS my heart?

Warning: The following post has the minimal amount of proofing as I just 'went with it.' I'm sure you'll notice, LOL.

The Dream

Here's a short story I started a few weeks ago.

Nothing special, not sure where it's going... just having fun with it!

To hope, to dream… to wait.

Saying Goodbye

Nope, not to the blog! =)
Have you ever stopped to count how many people you've said goodbye to? If you do, you'll probably realize that it's been more people than you'd expected.

Gossip Girl and The Big Bang Theory

I'm a huge fan of american TV shows. When I was little, I used to watch some of them with my parents. Somehow, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, Home Improvement and Seinfield are a part of my childhood. It was only natural that as I got older, I'd develop a taste for watching TV series. At the moment, my two favorites are The Big Bang Theory and Gossip Girl!

Reading

Ever since I was little, reading has been one of my favorite hobbies. I remember logging into Amazon.com and ordering insane amounts of books that I would go through as quick as I possibly could. It's a great way of developing a child's imagination. Reading helps you enter new worlds that you never believed possible. For me, it was like going on a short vacation to wherever the main character in my book was located. It was living vicariously through their experiences and learning something new by only turning pages.

Yoga!

I haven't been exercising much this year, which of course, was one of my New Year's resolutions - epic fail! This situation hasn't exactly been due to slacking or procrastinating, oh no! I was in a car crash a few months ago, nothing serious, but I had to wear a neck brace for a couple of days and, after that, some physical therapy sessions to fully recover the movement of my neck and back. Stress, as you may know, doesn't help healing wounds. So, it has taken me way more than I ever expected to get my life entirely back. I know, it's stupid... it was a very mild car crash!

Welcome!

Hello everyone!
My name is Renata, and I'm new around here. Recently, I decided to start a new adventure: opening my own blog. One of my greatest passions in life is writing, so it was only logical for me to start one! I must admit I haven't written in a long time, so my skills might be a bit rusty.

This space is open for anyone who is interested in reading it. I decided I won't be writing about anything in particular, just any thoughts that come to mind, things I'm passionate about (we'll get to know each other soon!) or things that interest me/ caught my attention. I hope to find people with similar interests and learn lots from this experience.

Talk to you soon!

Ren =)
