There's no place like home

There are so many quotes around what home is I could write an entire book (I wish!). If home is where the heart is, where exactly IS my heart?

Warning: The following post has the minimal amount of proofing as I just 'went with it.' I'm sure you'll notice, LOL.

Where have you been, Ren?

I have been away for over 6 months... a lot longer than 6 months, actually. When I originally wrote this post, it had been 6 months, now we're about to hit the year without posting. Procrastinating much, huh? Sadly, I have no heroic story to tell, no monster's death to brag about or a foreign land to have conquered. The only thing I have conquered is my own fears, for I have been on a life-changing experience since March 2012 and it all indicates it will continue to get interesting.

The question now is... where have I been? Beware, rambling ahead!

Savage Garden

Even though this group split up ages ago, they're still my favorite duo. When I was a teenager I was in love with their songs. Their album Affirmation is probably the only one I know all the lyrics by heart. Savage Garden forms a pretty important part of my life. My taste in music has evolved with time, of course, but these guys I always seem to go back to. They are to me what The Beatles are to my boyfriend. Well, sort of.... The Beatles are The Beatles, and will probable remain unparalleled for me.

Rambling on Monday

After a wonderful weekend in the sun, I think that one of the worst things that can happen is going back to reality. That's what sucks about vacations or short breaks... they come to an end way too soon. Today, as I sit in front of my computer at work, I wonder if this is really it. When I pictured being an adult, nobody told me it was this boring. I always imagined myself doing amazing things such as becoming a doctor, a cool scientist that found a cure for rare diseases, the editor of a magazine or even a princess - yeah, I was naive and dreamt big, haha.

Simple things make me happy

Hello!

Well, today was an interesting and quite long day. My day started at 4:45 a.m. with lots of work to do because I had to help at an event we had today from 6:00 a.m. until noon. I know, it's almost inhuman to work that early on a Sunday, it took every ounce of my energy to wake up on time! After that, I went to visit my boyfriend. After 4 and a half years of dating, I am more sure than ever that I want to spend every second of my life with him! He has helped me through the worst times of my life and has shared my happiness and triumphs; he's simply the best!
